01Who we are
Agni Shiksha ("Agni Shiksha", "we", "us", "our") is a brand of Qureskill Private Limited, a company incorporated under the Companies Act, 2013 (CIN: U85500BR2024PTC069215), with its registered office at Prem Nagar, Ganga Bridge Colony, Sabour, Bhagalpur, Bihar 813210, India.
Qureskill Private Limited is the Data Fiduciary for personal data processed through the Agni Shiksha mobile app, the websites agnishiksha.app and agnishiksha.in, and related services (together, the "Services").
02Scope of this policy
This Privacy Policy explains what personal data we collect, why we collect it, how we use and share it, and the choices and rights you have. It applies to everyone who uses the Services and should be read together with our Terms & Conditions.
It is published in line with the Information Technology Act, 2000, the Information Technology (Reasonable Security Practices and Procedures and Sensitive Personal Data or Information) Rules, 2011, the Information Technology (Intermediary Guidelines and Digital Media Ethics Code) Rules, 2021, and the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 ("DPDP Act").
03Information we collect
3.1 Information you give us
- Account details: name, mobile number, email address and a display name.
- Preparation details: target exam, exam year, preferred language, state or city.
- Optional profile details such as a profile photo.
- Messages you send to our support team, feedback and survey answers.
3.2 Information created when you use the app
- Test attempts, answers, scores, accuracy, time spent per question and topic-wise performance.
- Streaks, XP, league position, bookmarks, notes and practice history.
- Notification and app settings.
3.3 Device and technical information
- Device model, operating system and app version.
- IP address, device and advertising identifiers, and approximate location derived from your IP address. We do not collect precise GPS location.
- Crash reports, diagnostics and usage events (for example, which screens are opened).
3.4 Payment information
Purchases are processed by Google Play. We receive transaction details such as order ID, product, amount, date and status. We do not receive or store your card, UPI or bank account details.
3.5 Information from third parties
If you choose to sign in with a third-party account such as Google, we receive basic profile details (such as name, email and profile picture) that you allow that provider to share.
04How we use your information
- To run the Services: create and manage your account, verify your mobile number or email, and deliver tests, PYQs, notes and current affairs.
- To personalise your preparation: power AI gap analysis, recommend practice sets and show analytics about your performance.
- To keep you motivated: run streaks, XP, reminders and the Toppers' League.
- To communicate with you: send service messages, results, reminders and, with your consent, updates and offers. You can turn off non-essential notifications at any time.
- To process purchases and give you access to paid features.
- To support you when you contact us.
- To improve the Services: understand how features are used, fix bugs and build better tests.
- To keep the Services fair and secure: prevent fraud, cheating, account sharing, spam and abuse.
- To meet legal obligations and respond to lawful requests.
05Consent and lawful use
We process your personal data on the basis of your consent, which you give when you create an account and use the Services, and for other legitimate uses permitted under the DPDP Act, such as complying with law or responding to a medical emergency.
You may withdraw your consent at any time by writing to grievance@agnishiksha.com or by deleting your account. Withdrawal does not affect processing that happened before it. Some features may stop working if you withdraw consent needed to provide them.
06How we share information
We do not sell your personal data. We share it only in these situations:
- Service providers who help us run the Services, such as cloud hosting, databases, analytics, crash reporting, OTP and email delivery and customer support tools. They process data only on our instructions and under contract.
- Google Play, to process purchases and subscriptions.
- Other users, limited to your display name, avatar, XP and league position on leaderboards (see section 7).
- Legal and safety reasons, when required by law, a court order or a government authority, or to protect the rights, safety and property of our users and the company.
- Business transfers, if we are involved in a merger, acquisition or sale of assets. We will notify you before your data becomes subject to a different privacy policy.
- With your consent, in any other case.
We may share aggregated or anonymised insights (for example, "most aspirants found Polity hardest this week") that cannot identify you.
07Leaderboards and your public profile
The Toppers' League shows your display name, avatar, XP and rank to other users preparing for the same exam. Choose a display name you're comfortable sharing. Your mobile number and email are never shown to other users.
If you'd rather not appear on leaderboards, write to us and we'll help.
08Payments
All payments are handled by Google Play under Google's own terms and privacy policy. We only receive the confirmation and transaction details needed to activate your purchase, handle refunds and meet tax and accounting requirements.
09Cookies and similar technologies
Our websites may use cookies and similar technologies to keep them working and to understand traffic in aggregate. The app uses device storage and software development kit (SDK) identifiers for similar purposes, such as keeping you signed in and measuring crashes.
You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. Some parts of the websites may not work properly if you do.
10How long we keep data

We may delete accounts that stay inactive for a long period after giving you notice.
11How we protect your data
We use reasonable security practices, including encryption in transit (HTTPS/TLS), access controls based on least privilege, secure cloud infrastructure and regular reviews of who can access what.
No system is completely secure. If a personal data breach happens, we will notify affected users and the Data Protection Board of India as required by law, and take steps to limit the harm.
12Your rights
Under the DPDP Act and other applicable laws, you have the right to:
- Access a summary of the personal data we hold about you and how we process it.
- Correct, complete or update inaccurate or incomplete data.
- Erase your personal data, subject to what we must keep by law.
- Withdraw consent at any time.
- Grievance redressal through our Grievance Officer.
- Nominate another person to exercise these rights if you die or become unable to.
To use any of these rights, write to grievance@agnishiksha.com from your registered email, or from any email with your registered mobile number. We may verify your identity before acting on the request.
You also have duties under the DPDP Act, such as not giving false information and not impersonating anyone.
13Children's data
The Services are meant for users aged 18 or older, and for users under 18 only with the verifiable consent of a parent or lawful guardian.
We do not knowingly track or behaviourally monitor children, and we do not show targeted advertising to them. If we learn that we have collected a child's personal data without the required consent, we will delete it. Parents or guardians can contact us at grievance@agnishiksha.com.
14Where your data is stored
Your data is stored on secure servers operated by us or our service providers. These may be located in India or in other countries permitted under Indian law. Wherever it is stored, we protect it as described in this policy.
15Third-party links and services
The Services link to third-party platforms such as Google Play, YouTube and Instagram. Their own terms and privacy policies apply when you use them, and we are not responsible for their practices.
16Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. We'll change the "Last updated" date at the top and, for material changes, notify you in the app or by email before they take effect.

We acknowledge complaints within 24 hours and aim to resolve them within 15 days of receipt. If you are not satisfied with our response, you may approach the Data Protection Board of India under the DPDP Act, 2023.
